When planning a holiday to Los Angeles, you certainly won’t be struggling to find places to see and things to do. In fact, it’s more likely that you’ll be hard pressed to find the time to do everything you want to before you run out of time. From theme parks, shopping, beaches and world-famous sights, the City of Angels has something to offer visitors of all ages. While it’s almost impossible to list all the great ways you could spend your time in Los Angeles, here is a list of 7 great ideas to help you get started on your planning.

1. Head to the Beach

There are miles of public beaches in Los Angeles, so even if you wanted to avoid the beach, it would be difficult to do. From Santa Monica and Malibu to the South Bay beach towns of Manhattan Beach, Hermosa and Redondo, the beaches are great for enjoying a walk, run, some sunbathing, playing sports or surfing.

2. Catch a Sports Game

LA is home to some world-class sports teams, so why not take in a game? You don’t need to be a big sports fan to drink in the atmosphere and get lost in the tension of a big game with some drink and snacks. 3. Find Some Magic in Disneyland

While Disneyland is not technically in Los Angeles, it’s perfectly located for LA visitors to make a trip over. 4. Drive Along the Malibu Coast

The Malibu coastline is stunning, and a simple drive along it is the perfect way to pass a few hours by driving from Santa Monica to Oxnard. Malibu is synonymous with beach life in Southern California.

5. Six Flags Magic Mountain Theme Park

Looking for some excitement? You can’t beat the Six Flags Magic Mountain theme park for rollercoasters. It features some incredible experiences from the 255-drop on the Goliath into a dark tunnel at 85 miles an hour to the world’s tallest stand-up rollercoaster, Riddler’s Revenge.

6. Visit the LA Farmers Market and The Grove

The LA Farmers Market is a food lover’s heaven with local farmers coming to sell their best produce, but just next to the market is The Grove where there is plenty more to do including a great restaurant, somewhere to watch movies or to enjoy the beautiful dancing fountains.

7. Stroll Down the Hollywood Boulevard

No visit to LA would be complete without a stroll down Hollywood Boulevard where you can see the Walk of Fame which celebrates the biggest achievers in television, music and film with their handprints in cement. There are also lots of celebrity impersonators ready to pose for photos with tourists, and you may even be there to see a new celebrity adding their prints in the cement. If that weren’t enough temptation, you can also swing by the Hollywood Bowl for a summer concert, Paramount Studios or the Hollywood Heritage Museum.
