UK & Ireland Poker Tour Has Begun
If you’re planning a weekend break, then you don’t have to travel far to enjoy an adrenaline-filled and alternative holiday. One of the world’s most popular live poker tours is arriving in Galway, Ireland and will be offering a selection of live events for fans of a little flutter.
The Galway Poker Festival is set to be Europe’s biggest ever live poker festival and players from all over the world will be flocking to the west coast of Ireland to help make poker history.
Galway is known as Ireland’s cultural heart. It’s a vibrant city, which hosts numerous festivals and events every year, and the eagerly anticipated UK & Ireland Poker Tour (UKIPT) will be running from 27th July through to 12th August 2013 on Irelands picturesque west coast. The tournament will then move on to London, the Isle of Man and Nottingham later in 2013.
The renowned UKIPT Main Event tournament will conclude the festival, with a €1,000,000 guaranteed prize pool. Various other gambling events will also be held throughout the two-week long event, offering something for players of every skill.
The Full Tilt Poker Galway Festival will not only host poker tournaments, but players can also battle it out at the pool table, compete in the“25” championship and enjoy cash games, which will be running on demand.
There will be a total of 55 events taking place throughout the festival, including the Irish Poker Championship, the UK vs Ireland Heads up Championship and the Irish Bridge Master, which guarantees a prize pool of €10,000 with a first place prize of €5,000 up for grabs.
If you are interested in poker but prefer to keep hold of your money then you can enjoy watching the action unfold in the custom-built Full Tilt Poker village, which will be constructed on the Topaz site at Galway Docks. A number of high profile players are set to be in attendance, with Gus Hansen, Jake Cody and Liv Boree dropping in. The event will also be televised and broadcast over the internet for those not able to make it to Galway.
